Problem with IP Forwarding

I'm trying to get IP-forwarding to work for bungeecord, however once I turned on IP forwarding in the bungeecord.yml and set bungeecord to true in both of the spigot.ymls, bungeecord no longer connected me to the servers, it instantly connects then disconnects right after. It was working before I changed these settings, I was able to connect and switch between servers. Do you know what needs fixing?
