Users being sent back to default instead of last-connected

Title says it all - I'm unsure why this is happening and everything in the config looks correct.

Anyone got ideas about this? I may have missed something very simple.

edit: - after changing the config a bit - they are now skipping the default serfver - but its not properly sending htem back to their last connected server.
