BungeeCord MOTD Help

Is there a guide or list of working 'syntax' for Bungeecord MOTDs, I ask because i have tried using '/n' within the MOTD to force the line-break but it doesn't seem to work, rather it just prints the '/n' onto the MOTD on the server listing.
