Let users connect to Spigot through BungeeCord, but also directly to Spigot in pseudo-"online mode"

I'm aware that Spigot's online-mode must be turned off in order for users to connect through BungeeCord, but does there exist a way to also allow users to connect directly to the Spigot server while maintaining the integrity that online-mode provides? Here are a couple questions based on ways I could think of getting around it:
