[Solved] Players Randomly Kicked with 'Server went down'

...Even though the server most certainly did not go down.

Versions: Waterfall build 536, git-Purpur-1995 (MC: 1.20.1)* (a paper spigot fork)

I believe the kicks happen with bungeecord as well as waterfall. I chose to post in this forum because I think it's a connection issue, but it could be at the server level, rather than the proxy. I installed Purpur to replace Paper because of its keep-alive connection option for laggy players.
